  • Vernon Memorial Hospital and Clinics. 507 South Main Street, Viroqua, WI 54665. Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Diagnostics, Phase I, II, Adult Fitness, Community Education, GXTs, Bike and Treadmill Stress Echocardiography.   • St. Marys Hospital Medical Center, Madison. Phase I, II and III cardiac rehabilitation and pulmonary rehabilitation. Opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students available. Contact: Sharon Carls, 608-258-6269 for an application.
  • Meriter Hospital, Center for Health Promotion, 9 Tower, Madison, WI 53715. Undergraduates and Graduates accepted. Opportunities include Phase 1 and 2 Cardiac Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Supervised Exercise Therapy for various patient populations, Stress Tests and observing clinical procedures.   • St. Luke's Medical Center, 2900 West Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215. Phase 1, 2 and 3 cardiac rehab. Opportunities for prevention and wellness activities also available. The intern will gain exposure to complex patients such as heart transplant and ventricular-assist devices. The intern will observe cardiac cath, angioplasty/stent, and cardiac surgery.   • ProHealth Care Inc, Preventive Cardiology department offers a comprehensive Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation service. An intern will be offered experience at both Waukesha and Oconomowoc Memorial hospitals. In addition to the rehab services, an intern will be offered extensive experience in Community Outreach education and screening. A student will also be exposed to all of the service departments within the product line including heart surgery, cath procedures, stress testing and other cardiovascular services.   • St. Nicholas Hospital Therapeutic Exercise Department, Sheboygan. Exercise physiology student internships available for bachelors or masters students. Internships available for summer, fall, or spring semesters. Includes cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, Lifetime Fitness, and a chronic disease exercise program.   • Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Wausau. Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Phases I-IV. Undergraduate and graduate students accepted. Many opportunities for patient and community education, exercise prescription, and physical assessment. Intern will also have the opportunity to observe heart procedures, stress tests, and other clinical procedures within the heart institute.   • Stoughton Hospital, Stoughton. Program consists of Phase II, III, primary prevention, diabetes class, stress testing, public speaking opportunities. Undergraduate and Graduate interns accepted. We provide many opportunities for patient and community education, exercise prescription, and physical assessment. Interns will also have the opportunity to observe stress tests and other clinical procedures within the hospital.
