  WISCPHR Mission Statement

Recognizing that cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation are multi-disciplinary fields, the Wisconsin Society for Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Health & Rehabilitation is dedicated to the improvement of clinical practice, promotion of scientific inquiry, and advancement of education for the benefit of health care professionals and the public.

WISCPHR is affiliated with, and supports the goals and objectives of the national organization, the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).

Important Legislative Input Needed

ATTENTION WISCPHR MEMBERS!We recently emailed members information on how to contact your congressional representatives to support the important CR and PR bills facing Congress. This continues to be a pressing matter, and one which we cannot overemphasize. Everyone--staff members, medical directors, hospital administrators and patients--must make their voice heard. Go to the AACVPR web site and send an email to your representative and senator about supporting these bills. It's easy, it's effective, and it is critical to our profession and our patients.

New Educational Poster for Programs

The Education Committee of WISCPHR is excited to announce the result of the Heart Education and Response Team (HEART) project: a poster and accompanying flyer which educate the public and build awareness of WISCPHR and our mission. These materials were created using WISCPHR resources as a benefit to the WISCPHR members as well as cardiopulmonary rehabilitation programs in Wisconsin.

You Can Survive a Heart Attack poster and flyer are available for WISCPHR members to download for free. Click here to login, download materials, and learn more about this project.

CR, PR Guidelines Manuals and New CR Resource Manual from HKP

Human Kinetics and AACVPR have just published a new reference text for CR programs--"AACVPR Cardiac Rehabilitation Resource Manual". By clicking on the links below, WISCPHR will receive a 10% commission on all HK products ordered through their web site. YOU MUST USE THESE LINKS AND MAKE AN ORDER FOR WISCPHR TO GET THE COMMISSION. Human Kinetics monitors where individuals are linking from, so if you are interested in purchasing any of their products, consider coming through our web site first!

We are including this as a service to WISCPHR members. Human Kinetics is the publisher of the AACVPR's Guidelines for Cardiac Rehabilitation and Secondary Prevention Programs, and the Guidelines for Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programs. This does not constitute a promotion of Human Kinetics products solely.
